Although it might look like hand-writing is becoming redundant, it’s a skill that is still today critical in many walks of life. A handwritten missive communicates more gravitas than a typewritten missive; for instance an application for a job, an invitation or an apology.

One may suppose it’s a recent trend of the masses eschewing penmanship and using a keyboard instead, yet as far back as the late 1800s, there were complaints that hand-writing was being disregarded because of the invention of those times : the typwriter. Now in the 21st century, the fault is being corresponded to the ubiquitous utilization of computers.

However, there still exists a strong requirement for handwriting talent in in all walks of life. Hand written missives are considered as to a greater extent more honest, they demonstrate the author has deliberated over his words, and they show more respect to the recipient. In this modern age of templated responses, the penned letter has never been more important.

I have oftentimes been caught red-handed with my bad penmanship - made even worse due to decades of relying on my computer keyboard. In situations where I’ve had to put pen to paper, my writing’s been a sloping scrawl. So how did I get over this problem? How to work out such a problem? I handwrote whenever the opportunity came to do so, and my writing improved greatly. So it’s wise to polish your handwriting by practise.

Another tip is to acquire a pen you are comfortable with, and it must accept refills. Recommended refills include the renowned Mont Blanc Pens range. This allows you to polish your hand writing with the same pen.
