I couldn’t believe the sparkling Belinda Smart, my life-long soul mate, could ever need a collection of medical wigs. Her terrific hair styles flowed in sync with her attitude. Guess what? The one and only will be eternally celebrated for her style. Not many in town think to notice that she lives confidently wearing synthetic wigs. They look that good.

As youths finding our way in our home town of Scottsdale, we once stole the spotlights to every dance. Five years later, her medical hair loss took its toll and she became nearly bald. I recommended some synthetic wigs. Oh well, she shrugged it off. Unfazed by medical hair loss, she somewhat obnoxiously showcased her attitude.

Attending her fiance’s homecoming, we flirted with the crowd until someone accidentally flung the ball (or whatever you call it) into the stands. Quick on her feet, she reached out for the thing when her cute little hat flew right off, revealing her thinning hair. Totally upreturbed, she tossed the ball back to the field. What’d I tell ya about her spunk?

That said, who can be invincible at all times? Once at our semi-monhtly “Gilmore Girls” binge, when she quietly said that she prefers to go bald out of bitterness. She missed her natural hair too much to think about medical wigs, despite the fact that she would wear them. Then just like that miss invincible grew embarrassed and asked that I should think nothing more of it. I thought “oh, well.”

I wanted to help so bad. That night, I IM’d with her about getting her a new wig. After a long deliberation we arrived at the obvious conclusion: we’d buy each other wigs One for me and one for her.

We had a great time, amazed by how natural they looked. I never knew that human hair wigs are so professionally crafted for a lot of people. These invisible lace wigs were marvelous. As for me, built an entirely creative ensemble to match my wig. We’re inseparable, you know. Last Christmas she sent me her thanks for giving her back her hair, and confessed it brought about a real positive image that she’d forgotten. It’s encouraging to witness her strut her stuff like never before. She’s a better person, with the same confidence.
